Great prices. Everything we needed to throw a taco party for 30-50 people. We order every single month for our monthly meetings.

I love their caldo de res. Great ratio of meat and veggies. Comes with really yummy tortillas and yummy arroz rojo. Such a comforting meal in the winter time.

I was introduced to this place years ago when I was in my teens by my dad. This is the only place I buy chicharrones! They are crunchy, warm and delicious and are especially yummy when they are fresh out of the fire. It's a small cramped place that could benefit from some up dating but would probably loose its charm if it was.

Ask for the real carne asada steak!!!!! You will not be disappointed. You can also ask them to cut a chicken the right way for the grill.

Bellmar La Gallinita Meat Market is authentic in so many ways. Service, food, and ambiance, to say the least. In addition, the urban environment offers a look into a thriving Latino culture in San Francisco Mission District. As watched in the cinemas of America,in such movies as, "La Mission", The Mission and specifically 24th St is home to a diverse group of ppl from all over the world, living, working, studying, and commuting together. Bellmar has been making Chicharron, burritos, tacos, and many more things while keeping their prices affordable for over 30 years. Come on in and say hola or buenas and try their food or hang out in their cafe. Cards are accepted.

This is one of the lesser known spots in the Mission district, but I'd highly recommend!! Shoutout to the Yelp 415 deal, where you can check in and get a burrito for $4.15 (a steal). Thanks to this event, I was able to try this spot out! It is also a meat market on the side, but I came for the fresh food! The employees there were really great and attentive, making sure you enjoyed your experience her. I ordered the cecina burrito and HIGHLY recommend. This choice in meat plus the red sauce packs a BUNCH of flavor. It was a fairly large burrito packed with rice and beans as well, and I was VERY satisfied afterward. Excited to come back!

Even though they have a huge butcher section, I opted for the tacos. It wasn't expensive, but it also wasn't super cheap. Maybe like $4/taco. The cecina taco was very delicious and memorable! Cecina Taco: My favorite taco of the batch I tried. A huge single thin slice of beef. Apparently it's salted, but it's not like corned beef salted, more like a steak that's a bit salty. Really enjoyed the flavor. Chorizo Taco: Large chunks of ground pork full of spices. Seemed like larger granules than you typically get with chorizo. Worked really well on the taco. Carne Asada Taco: Wasn't quite feeling this one. I was expecting seared slices of steak. Instead, there were large chunks that were like lesser cuts that were a bit bumpy. Like what you might think of for tacos or fajitas served in a school cafeteria. Carnitas Taco: Pulled pork that is deep fried to be a bit crispy. Nice texture and good meat. Could have used a bit more marinade in the meat though.
